In Stitches + Charts Category I show simple crochet diagrams that do not require detailed Tutorials and, I think, be understandable even for beginner crocheters.
Chain a multiple of 8 plus 6.
Row #1. Sc in second ch from the hook. * Ch 4, skip next ch 3, sc in next ch. Repeat from * to end of row.
Row #2. Work ch 3 (count as first dc). Turn. 4 dc in arch of ch 4, * Ch 2, sc in next arch, ch 2, 4 dc in next arch. Repeat from * until last sc. Dc in last sc.
Row #3. Work ch 1. Turn. Sc in first dc, ch 4. * Sc in next space of ch 2, ch 4. Repeat from * until last 5 dc. Skip next 4 dc, sc in last dc.
Row #4. Work ch 5 (count as first dc + ch 2). Turn. Sc in next arch of ch 4, ch 2 * 4 dc in next arch, ch 2, sc in next arch, ch 2. Repeat from * until last sc. Dc in last sc.
Row #5. Work ch 1. Turn. Sc in first dc, ch 4, skip next space of ch 2. * Sc in next space of ch 2, ch 4. Repeat from * until last space. Skip last space, sc in last dc.
Repeat rows #2-5.
