Raspberry Baby Blanket

I wanted a bright spring mood. It is enough to take a yarn of two bright colors and create a children’s blanket or cloak on a stool.

Row 1 (green). Start with Magic Ring. Work chain (ch) 3. 2 double crochet (dc), (ch 2, 3 dc) * 3 times, ch 1. Join with half double crochet (hdc) in 3-rd ch.

Row 2 (pink). Attach pink yarn in top of any middle dc. Ch 3, 2 dc in the same dc, (ch 3, 5 dc in the top of the next middle dc) * 3 times, ch 3, dc in top of dc which we started. Join row with slip stitch (sl st).

Row 3 (green). Take removed green loop. Ch 3, 2 dc in green and pink chains around. (Ch 4, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] all in the next green and pink chains around) * 3 times. Ch 4, 3 dc in beg angle arch, ch 1, hdc in 3-rd ch.

Row 4 (pink). Take removed pink loop, (single crochet (sc) in top of middle shell’s dc, ch 1, 5 dc in the top of middle green dc, ch 3, 5 dc in the top of middle green dc of next group of dcs, ch 1) * 4 times. Join with sl st in sc.

Row 5 (green). Take removed green loop. Ch 3, 2 dc in green and pink chains around, ch 4, 3 dc in the pink sc, ch 4. ([3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] all in the next angular green and pink chains around, ch 4, 3 dc in pink sc, ch 4) * 3 times, 3 dc in the first angle arch, ch 1, hdc in 3-rd ch.

Row 6 (pink). Enter the hook in the top of middle green dc above the place where you left off the previous pink row. Take removed pink loop, ch 2 loops, pull loop of the top of the green dc. Ch 3, 2 dc in top this same green dc. Ch 1, sc in the top of middle dc on the pink shell of the previous row, ch 1, 5 dc in middle green dc, ch 3, 5 dc in next middle green dc, ch 1, (sc in the top of middle dc on the shell, ch 1, 5 dc in the top of middle green dc, ch 1, sc in shell, ch 1, 5 dc in the top of middle green dc on the next group of dcs, ch 3, 5 dc in next middle green dc, ch 1) * 3 times. Sc in top of shell, 2 dc in the beginning of the row. Join row with slip stitch (sl st) in 3-rd ch.

Row 7 (green). Take removed green loop. Ch 3, 2 dc in green and pink chains around, ch 4, 3 dc in the pink sc, ch 4, 3 dc, ch 4. ([3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] all in the next angular green and pink chains around, ch 4, 3 dc in pink sc, ch 4, 3 dc, ch 4) * 3 times, 3 dc in the first angle arch, ch 1, hdc in 3-rd ch.

Continue crocheting, changing color from a row to row and adding additional groups on the sides of the square. I recommend doing the last row pink. Work only shells and scs, skips ch 1 before and after the sc.
