Puff crochet stitch 006

In Stitches + Charts Category I show simple crochet diagrams that do not require detailed Tutorials and, I think, be understandable even for beginner crocheters.

Chain a multiple of 3 plus 2.

In the pattern just one repeating row. Number of chains on foundation chain = x * 4 + 2.

Note. Depending of the yarn thickness, which do more or less half double crochet (hdc) in one puff stitch.

I usually do 3, but if you want even more fluffy, make 4 or 5 hdc. If work from finer yarns, but in several layer, then puff stitch looks a gorgeous!

Row #1. From the second loop from hook, work a row with single crochets (sc).

Row #2. Turn. Pull the loop on the hook on the height of 1.5-2 cm (~¾ inch). 1 puff stitch in the first sc, ch 2, 1 puff stitch in same sc. * Ch 1, skip 3 sc, 1 puff stitch in fourth sc, ch 2, 1 puff stitch. Repeat from * across.

Row #3. Turn. Sl st between puff stitches. Pull the loop on the hook on the height of 1.5-2 cm (~¾ inch). 1 puff stitch in the same space, ch 2, 1 puff stitch in same space. * Ch 1, (1 puff stitch, ch 2, 1 puff stitch) all in next space between puff stitches of previous row. Repeat from * across.

Repeat number #3.
